The Gardens of Rodeen

Rodeen is a hillside garden 2km. east of Castletownbere...Sited on an exposed slope of the old red sandstone, thirty years of soil building hosts a large and unusual collection of exotic plants, now semi-mature.   Ellen is an active proselytizer for gardening in her area and has a unique knowledge born of experience of what will grow and flourish on the Beara Peninsula.

Guests are invited to use the gardens for general relaxation, reading, painting or photography apart from enjoying the fabulous panoramic view of Bere Island and Castletownbere Haven.
